A 10Km Walk

Sponsored by members of the Bible Baptist Church of Ballincollig to benefit the Mercy University Hospital Foundation.

Date:    Saturday, 28th August 2010

Location:   Bweeng Forest, Co Cork

The Mercy Hospital needs a new CT scanner which will help save lives in Cork. The CT scanner will be used to diagnose and treat a wide variety of ailments including head trauma, heart disease, cancer and osteoporosis. The cost of this scanner is €500,000. This is your opportunity to walk with us to help raise some badly needed funds!

We would like to invite YOU to walk with us on this very needy walk.

We are looking for 25 additional people besides the 25 from our church to take a Mercy University Hospital Foundation Sponsorship Card to raise their own monies towards this need.

Don’t miss this opportunity to help. Take a step of faith and turn it into a walk – a 10 kilometre walk for the Mercy Hospital!  Our goal is to raise €5,000 euro for the CT scanner, AND to have some fun on the walk!

Following the walk, there will be food and refreshments (hopefully a BBQ) provided!

Will YOU Help?

·         There is a Get-Together Planning Meeting for all volunteers on Thursday, 5th August, and then again on the 19th  at the Church Activity Centre, in the Enterprise Business Park, Inishmore, Ballincollig from 7-8pm – phone for directions.

·         Anyone capable of walking the 10 kilometres (6 ˝ miles) is welcome, young or old!

·         Total time on the walk should be around 5-6 hours including trip to and from the Bweeng Forest.

·         Sponsorship Cards are available upon Request

·         Once you are approved, you will be given a Garda Collector’s Authorisation permit
