What’s the meaning of a Star,

And, of the manger-birth?

What do shepherds have to do with gifts;

Do angels have a worth?

Were there really any wise men

Who lived so long ago?

How could Christmas affect anyone…

if no one, seems to know?

Do we know what we're missing

When we get in such great debt?

With all the pressures and the stress

That comes with gifts we get.

So with tinsel and the lights

Don't miss the Saviour's birth;

For Jesus is what Christmas is --

He gives the Season worth!

That has buried something real?

Is there something that we’re missing;

Have we gotten a raw deal?

Our homes are filled with busy-ness

We've moved beyond the Manger

Oh yes we have the shopping malls…

But to us, God is a stranger!
