A Sample Letter... April 27th, 2015 Dear Mr/Ms -------- I am writing to you, a publically elected member of Dail Eireann to register my strong disapproval of the Government’s intention to change the Irish Constitution to facilitate Same Sex Marriage. You probably have changed your position on Same Sex Marriage over the years, and that saddens me. I believe you are charged with the responsibility to govern society and protect it from foolish legislation which will eventually destroy our society. This amendment is a direct attack on the family, which the Constitution demands that you swear to uphold. Young children will now grow up wondering who’s who in a marriage. I also notice that our government is already allowing same sex couples to equally adopt under the Children’s and Family Relationships Bill 2015. You passed that, against the Irish Constitution, and without a referendum, which was wrong. Finally, just because you are attempting to make Same Sex Marriages legal will never mean that it is right. Abortion is legal in so many places in our world, but it is still wrong. So is this attempt to legalise Same Sex Marriage. I repeat in the strongest of words, “It’s wrong.” Plain and simple. Please rise up and change your stance on this issue. Consider that the God of heaven who made you and made everyone, will hold you responsible for how YOU vote this May 22nd, and how you have influenced this vote. Please know that I am praying for you, and I pray that God has your heart, and directs your steps, and gives you courage to protect marriage, instead of destroy it. Yours very sincerely, and Prayerfully Include your name and address so that they know you are a real person, and not just a copy of a letter. |
The bottom line here is that the Bible quite clearly condemns homosexual behavior.
