The Irish government proposes to add to the Constitution a declaration that "marriage may be contracted in accordance with law by two persons without distinction as to their sex".

What Marriage Is, and Why it Matters

What is the current definition of marriage?
Marriage, by definition is two consenting people of opposite sex, entering into a binding and protective agreement, becoming physically one unit.
The proper, dictionary definition of marriages is as follows:
"The act of uniting a man and woman for life; wedlock; the legal union of a man and woman for life. Marriage is a contract both civil and religious, by which the parties engage to live together in mutual affection and fidelity, till death shall separate them. Marriage was instituted by God himself for the purpose of preventing the promiscuous intercourse of the sexes, for promoting domestic felicity,and for securing the maintenance and education of children."

The words 'Traditional marriage', is a valid title, because it already fits all over the world. Any new definition of marriage violates absolutely ALL current definitions in all countries. There are no nations that traditionally held to same sex marriage.

What the Same Sex Marriage People Say...
Same Sex Marriage is simply allowing a person to marry the person they love and nothing more.
Same sex marriage is a civil right.
Same sex marriage is only about equality.
Jesus was silent about homosexuality.
Same sex marriage is safe and only helpful to society.

What they FAIL to say is...
Who cares what God thinks.
Who cares what children in their homosexual "homes" think.
Who cares what a moral person thinks - they will now be FORCED to applaud immoral actions and they will be publicly punished if they speak out against same sex marriage and unions.
Who cares what the Bible says.
Who cares what Jesus says.
Who cares what the Irish Constitution says.
Who cares what all of history has shown about attampts to change society at its most fundamental unit - the family.
The same-sex adgenda is not about equality, but redefinition, and replacement of the current family unit, with something that is nothing more than publically approved selfishness.
The same sex adgenda is full of hatred and anger beyond description.
This push for same sex marriage is simply a push to destroy traditional marriage. Those that promote same-sex marriage do not want marriage... they want control.
All civil rights are given by God, not by the government (see Germany). Otherwise civil rights are only granted on the basis of the strongest, the loudest.



Just because someone calls something a marriage does not make it a marriage.  Example of an apple.
An apple is an apple, even if flawed, bruised, or even if it has a worm in it.
An orange can never become an apple. Even if coloured red. It will still only ever be an orange.
It is the same with homosexual unions. They are not marriage. They are not natural.
Heterosexual unions are not marriage either, until a binding covenant is agreed to by both parties.

Where Same-Sex Marriage is Leading...
If two men, and two women can get married, WHY NOT three, or four to each other? And then, Why stop with marriage between humans only? Should humans and animals be allowed to "marry" and be considered as equally married as heterosexual marriages?
The REAL issue is, If LOVE is the main basis of marriage, then polygamy also would be constitutionally protected.

So, What about polygamy and all its forms? Polyandry is a form of polygamy whereby a woman takes two or more husbands at the same time. Polyandry is contrasted with polygyny, involving one male and two or more females. Polygamy was fought and rejected hundreds of years ago. And yet, it cannot be stopped once same sex marriage is allowed. What will stop two men and three women from getting "married" together as one "family"?
Incest. Sexual activity between family members or close relatives. There is a rapidly growing demand for incestuous relationships to be granted legality and one day equal status with all forms of marriage.
Paedophilia. The modern push, mainly by men, but also by women for legal allowances for sexual relationships between adults and children is vile, but will be the consequence of the equality status of homosexual marriage.
Beastiality after that. Who wants to read a definition of THIS concept??? Where will it all end?

All of these attacks against traditional marriage will result in "marriage" actually becoming meaningless in the end. What people will be left with is the pursuit of the happiness of the individual, without limit. Sounds great, until all the consequences are added up!

Funny how this is not something new, but is all predicted and warned about in the Bible! Remember places called Sodom and Gomorrah?

To those who believe that Jesus was silent about homosexuality and it therefore must be allowed... Jesus was NOT silent on the sexuals sins of the day. As a matter of fact, Jesus lived and taught to a Bible believing culture that accepted all of the Old Testament's laws against those acts as binding. He didn't have to constantly address some issues because He was leaving them as they already stood in Scripture.

WHAT SAME SEX MARRIAGE MEANS - WHY IT IS WRONG

  1. When you change the definition of marriage, you are forceably changing the meaning of such related terms as "husband," "wife," "spouse," "father," and "mother." What those words mean TODAY, will NOT be what they will be mean in the near future if same-sex relationships are made the same as heterosexual marriage.
  2. Homosexual marriage promotes a morally wrong lifestyle, and makes it instead now, a civil right! So, Religious liberty will be lost.
  3. It promotes and imposes immorality on society as a whole! Same sex marriage promotes ALL forms of deviant lifestyle and sin. There is no escaping the slippery slope that redefining marriage pushes society down! It promotes the idea that things that are deemed wrong now may not and probably will not be wrong in the future - like man-boy love, like paedophelia, like beastiality, and so on. All forms of sexual activity will ultimately be promoted in public with no restraint.
  4. It forces people to go against the common moral conscience of today - making someone honour what they believe to be a heinous sin! Just like what is happening with bakers, photographers, employers, etc, all over the world already. It will put moral people, on the wrong side of the law.
  5. Same sex unions are 100% sterile. Figure that one into the equation! When a man and a woman get married, they are naturally able to have children and form a family. The sexual acts of heterosexual couples naturally produce children. People have to take pills and use contraceptives to stop them from naturally having children. But the sexual acts of two men, or two women will never produce a child.
  6. Same Sex unions blatently violate nature - natural law. If two men want to have a child, they have to go to extreme measures to use a woman to get a child by adoption, not by nature.

  7. Same-sex unions redefine male and female genders - to the point where people regect their gender, and do not want it to matter what a person is, as long as they are happy.

  8. The new definition of marriage centres on the private concerns of adults, while the traditional definition of marriage focuses on the benefits to society from the special relationship that exists between a man and a woman, i.e., the effects for care of children, the control of passions, the division of wealth in society, and so on. Marriage should never be about government entitlements, but about the protection of the family unit, and ITS happiness.
  9. The biggest reason to reject same-sex marriage is that it offends God - the one who gave us life, and sex and family! It is humourous that pointing out how something offends God, ends up offending some people. Too bad! It is a valid reason to consider. And for a Christian, it is a very important reason to consider.
  10. Same-Sex marriage will not just add itself to the list of modern civil rights, it will produce an overnight revolution in countless areas of case-law and statutory law that involve the traditional definition of marriage, completely redefining all laws governing the identity of mothers, fathers, husband, or wife; all tax laws; all state funded education curriculum; new licensing standards for professions; public accommodations rules; new limits on religious liberty protections; additional health care regulations; inheritance, distribution of estates, the administration of estates, post-marital support, custodial and other parental rights as to children, adoption of children, dissolution of marriages, testimonial privileges in both the civil and criminal law, certain defenses in the criminal law, interests in land, the conveyance and recording of such interests, compensation for the loss of consortium, and the right to statutory or contractual benefits of many types.
    This may all sound uninteresting and confusing, but it will affect most of society at almost every level.
